Switch Adventures #6: Kirby Star Allies
Well, this was certainly a fun time. I'm not the biggest Kirby fan, which isn't to say I hate the series, I'm just not normally someone who plays these games too often. I'm more in the wheelhouse of Mario and Zelda, but enough about that, let's get right into Kirby Star Allies. So basically, this is a typical Kirby game through and through, with things starting off fairly normal with Kirby adventuring through Dream Land, leading to more and more dark places ending with a showdown against an eldritch destroyer of worlds, while also explaining the new Ally mechanic, which allows you to have up to three enemy characters join you on your adventure and provide special stat buffs to your copy abilities and various other goodies. The story is not much to write home about, but it's serviceable all the same, with an evil preist named Hyness trying to revive an ancient evil with the help of the three sisters, Francisca, Flamberge, and Zan Partisanne.
