Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
I have to admit that I love a good story with the villain running the country, and this one ended up being quite entertaining. There was a lot of fun action scenes and it was a thrill ride from beginning to end.
The story is about Superman, played by Tim Daly, and Batman, played by Kevin Conroy, teaming up after president Lex Luthor, played by Clancy Brown, frames Superman for the death of Metallo and declares a bounty on him.
I think I really liked getting to see Superman and Batman fighting together and they clearly played off of each other super well. Kevin Conroy plays Batman as stoic and serious, while Tim Daly plays Superman as a good man who isn't afraid to fight to protect his good name.
The action is really where this movie shines the most, with scenes of them fighting against a group of supervillains, against Lex Luthor's personal squad, and, my personal favorite, against Shazam and Hawkman. The scenes were big, intense, and explosive in more ways than one, and it was heart pounding to watch each of them play out, ans Luthor was an amazing villain, using his intellect, as well as his exo-suit, to get his way.
Overall, this was a film that I enjoyed quite a lot. It had action, I liked the interactions between Superman and Batman, and Lex Luthor really took a new level in villainy. This is definitely not one movie to miss.
Next time, the Justice League has to stop a group of villains that could provide them quite a challenge: An evil Justice League from an alternate universe. Stay tuned for Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.
