Uncharted

I will fully admit that I was excited to watch this. I think Tom Holland is a phenomenal actor and he was the biggest selling point for me. On my first watchthrough, I enjoyed it a lot, honestly.

The story follows Nathan Drake, played by Tom Holland, who is recruited by Victor Sullivan, played by Mark Wahlberg, to search for a treasure left by Magellan, or rather Magellan's captain. Along the way, he has to deal with Santiago Mercado, played by Antonio Banderas, and his attempts to get the treasure.

The plot was pretty simple, but I still enjoyed everything along the way. The first part of the movie had like a spy/National Treasure type of feel to it, with the team stealing an item to get to the treasure, and later solving puzzles, while the second part was pure action, with one of the best final acts I have seen in a video game movie. It involves a battle on pirate ships that are in the sky, so pretty cool stuff.

Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg were definitely the standouts and their chemistry with them constantly snarking at each other was great. It actually felt like a pretty well made movie.

Overall, if you like action and adventure movies, you'll like this one a lot. If you like Tom Holland, you'll also like this one. I don't really know who wouldn't like this movie, to be honest.

Next time, I swear I won't put it off again, but I'm planning on finally reviewing Iron Man. And the audience collectively said, "It's about time!"
